Reiki is “universal life force energy”. It's the energy of life, applied to healing. The therapist draws upon this universal Qi and transfers it to the client's energy system where it is used by their body's innate intelligence for restoring balance and healing. For those clients who are healthy and not requiring healing, the energy becomes available to the higher senses, and can be used for spiritual purposes or to explore other states of consciousness.
